I was such an edgy child. I wanted to be a scene kid so bad in middle school but my mom wouldn't let me dye my hair or buy the clothes. I settled for listening to music that "no one else" listened to. My favorite bands in middle school were Animal Collective and Crystal Castles (both very well known now).

In the 3rd grade I had a dream that the pilsbury doughboy was holding me hostage in my own kitchen. He had me tied to an office chair and gagged me with a sock. He was still doughboy-sized, so he had to get on the counter to threaten me with a knife at face level. I couldn't look at pilsbury products in the grocery store for a while after.

I'm fat so my options are limited. When I have the money to spare, I shop at places like Universal Standard, anywhere were the clothes are good quality (and expensive). Usually though I go to a local plus-size thrift store.

I enjoy where I'm living now. If I was pressed to pick another city, Chicago for sure.

I actually really like my birth/government name (Which is not Netty, that's a nickname). I was named by my dear late great-aunt and so I view my name as a gift given to me. I'm nonbinary but I have no desire to change my name.
